About Dr. Blanda
Louis Blanda Jr., MD, is one of our exceptional orthopedic surgeons practicing at the Lafayette Bone & Joint Clinic. He is a graduate of Tulane University and the Louisiana State School of Medicine in New Orleans. Following his residency training at New Orleans Charity Hospital from 1970 to 1974, Dr. Blanda received certification from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 1975. He also served in the Air Force Reserves from 1964-1974 and as a Major in the Air Force Medical Corps from 1974-1976.
Dr. Blanda practices at Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital and is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Lafayette Parish Medical Society, the Acadiana Orthopaedic Association, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In his free time, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing along the Gulf Coast.
